  • Digital Receipts: The stores and restaurants running large scale businesses usually prefer digital receipts that can be printed and issues easily keeping in view a load of customers. They can even afford the printing and technological costs and human resources specifically for this task. This even helps them with card transactions or online payments as their billing is generally of larger amounts. 
  • Manual Receipts: Small scale businesses prefer manual issuance of receipts on paper. As they have small scale bills and It is not feasible for them to have digital receipts. For the purpose of record-keeping, they tend to maintain registers of receipts and transactions rather than digital inventory.
